I use straight hoses and a metal elbow from the radiator outlet (hose, elbow, hose). Reproduction elbows can be found at the old car parts suppliers. Or you can get a muffler shop (if you can find one with hydraulic pipe bender) to make one.

Hi Chevy Goat I can make up the hose kit with original style looking 1 1/4 inch wrapped straight hose and have a couple of the 1928 Chevy lower radiator hose elbows made by Billy Possom still in stock. I do not have any correct wire or Wittek hose clamps for these as the ones that I have gotten lately have been nothing but junk and had to send them back. E-mail me at bob@marxparts.com if interested.

I believe Chevrolet never used red hoses.

I agree with Gene. However there are some artist retouched photos in sales literature showing red hoses. After years of research I am of the opinion that the red hoses and belts were either experimental or made to look better in the literature.
