I am refinishing the rear fenders of a 1932 Coach and have noticed a crease in the area where the fenders and chassis meet near the rear. The crease is on both fenders and is 16"(?) long and quite shallow. It seems likely this crease could be due to pressure on the outside rear area of the fender, but it may be factory. Could you please tell me if the rear fenders should be smooth?

JYD, were the fenders removed? The crease would not be visible installed.

My 32 rear fenders do not have a crease were you say. Perhaps the crease came from a bad repair years ago like mine. Mine had the rear flare taken out so they looked like a motorcycle fender. I had to reshape it back in. Not easy! and still not done. I'm thinking of buying the replacement steel fenders from the Filling Station.
