I bought a 1949 2-door sedan last year as a project car, and it looks as though someone tried to turn the engine over without checking if it was freed up. The 216 had 7 stuck values with bent 7 push rods and snapped one of the rocker arms. I was able to source new push rods, but I cannot find rocker arms anywhere. I figured before I give up hope on resurrecting the original engine, I figured I'd ask folks who may have more experience.

You might call them first. They might have a single arm not listed in their catalog.

Sorry, I can not help withthe rocker arm.
The rocker arms are the same for 216 engines from 1941-1953.
The arm you need will have 839463 cast on it - some time very difficult to see.
Some one out there must have a good used one.

I may be able to help. Do you need exhaust left (1), exhaust right (2), intake left (5) or intake right (6)? This will be a larger size, last digit number following 83946? cast into the side of the rocker arm. Mike

I believe I found a replacement being shipped in from Ontario. Hopefully it works out.
