The Filling Station sells 6V LED tail light for the passenger side only. I assume that it is not for the drivers side because it lacks the capability for the license plate light. Has anyone tried to adapt a socket for standard 6V bulb in the housing housing to get a license plate light along with the LED assembly being sold?

I got my LED conversion kits from the Filling Station several years ago. They had boards for both sides. One with license lamp and one without. I used one kit for my '35 Standard Coupe and another for my 1936 truck.

Thank you for information . I believe the 1936 taillight buckets are different than 1935. I believe that I previously talked to Steve Kassis about those boards and he said they would not fit in the 1936 car buckets. I don't know the difference but will be evaluating the physical difference; I just found a spare 1936 car bucket and look to see what might be different.
How did the boards you used mount in the taillight bucket? did you have to modify the board to make them work?

Dave

The '35 Standard bucket differs from the '35 Master and '36 Passenger bucket, and also from the '36 Truck bucket. The kit Steve offered at that time was made to work in all of them. The attachment of the board to the bucket was sketchy, but do-able. The boards did not need any modification.
My biggest challenge was to convert the truck lamps and have them appear 100% original on the outside.
Feel free to call me if you think it would be helpful. Also, my direct email appears below.

The LED board that Steve presently offers will not physically fit in the 1936 car taillight bucket.
I did locate and purchased LED boards on eBay that appear to fit the 1936 taillight bucket. I plan to install them when I get the '36 out in the spring.
Thanks for all the input.

It's hard to figure how something would fit inside a '33/'35(Standard only in '35) tail lamp bucket and not fit in the '35(Master)/'36 bucket. They use the same lens and the later bucket is actually larger inside than the early one. Glad you found something.
