The Chevrolet El Camino is a sister to the GMC Caballero. The El Camino easily sold more units than the GMC Caballero.
In an upcoming G&D, we will have an article about the GMC Caballero / Diablo. The Diablo is a factory jazzed up Caballero. The assumption in the proposed G&D article is that a total of only 54 Caballero Diablos were ever produced. Since the website...carsalesbase.com states the GMC Caballero's total production for all of the years that it was produced at about 61,052, it is extremely hard to believe that only a total of 54 of the Diablo options was produced.
Does anyone have any production data for the Caballero / Diablo made by GMC?
