I am putting a 1939 chevy 4 door back together for a friend. It has the column shifter. I installed a throttle linkage (rod between the gas pedal and pivot point to carburetor) that I believe is from a 1941 coupe. Are the rods the same?
The rod seems to have too much of an upward curve. The gas pedal is pressed into the rod, but the pedal doesn't reach to the bottom connector. I also noticed that the rod often sticks when the accelerater is pressed down.
If the rods are different, does anyone have any extra 1939 throttle rod available?
