Not sure of the orientation of the picture, but You want the top point of the rubber resting on the glass.

I checked out an original, early take-off door, for you. The rubber angles up from the retaining channel, toward the glass.

I guess I’m trying to figure out what the position of the track on both the door and the inside panel. That will determine the angle of the rubber scraper.
Also Steel Rubber sells one size where the other suppliers sell a much smaller size. Which is correct?

I can see by your photo, why you would be confused. So am I. On my '45 pu, I recently removed the mating interior "scraper" from my door panels. They basically meet the glass at a right angle. Looking at my yet-to-be-replaced exterior scrapers on the window opening of the door itself, it appears to me the scrapers meet the glass at an upward angle, facilitating scraping water off the exterior of the glass. I think I'd experiment while installing the glass, to see what makes the most sense. I think maybe, the scraper you are using is for the interior door panel and maybe there is a different profile scraper for the exteririor of the glass?

You could be right about that. If you use the rubber from Steele, it is so much larger than the one from the other suppliers that a smaller one inside makes more sense. Also, the distance between the interior and exterior Chanels seems too narrow to accommodate both large rubbers. ….. although Steele doesn’t seem to agree….

I’m still question the position of the Chanel that the rubber goes into….. I have a problem with the rubber curling out of the Chanel when operating the window
