Well, today was the day, I finally found some time to replace the front wheel bearings with the new roller bearings that I bought from The Filling Station. Over all, I was pleased with the outcome of my little project.
The components of the kit were as advertised, there were clear instructions included in the package and the project was quickly finished.
Did it produce the desired result? Yes, it did. My inner bearing on one side was in poor condition with deep pitting on the bearing. This produced a rumble when the wheel was spun so not something that I wanted to use for very long. I changed both sides when I was at it and I am pleased with the result. I think this will be a worthwhile upgrade, especially when I needed to replace at least one bearing.
When I was finished, the weather here in Saskatchewan was such that I decided to take the car out for a quick spin to charge the battery and check the results of my work!
