I'll add this...
I haven't seen a single piece of Chevrolet literature that refers to the style of trucks built up into the spring of 1947 as anything but 1946 models.
That includes operators manuals, advertising brochures, and especially parts books.
If you are looking for part numbers, you will absolutely need to look under 1946. Never 1947.
My truck was titled as a 1947 as well, even though it was built in October of 1946.
The state where it was first titled, titled by the year it was first purchased.
All that said, there are STILL people who call the late 1946 models 1947.1 models.
Especially on some other Chevy sites.
They are wrong.
Would those same people call a 2022 model car built in November of 2021 a 2021 model?
The calendar year of build or sale are irrelevant.
