I've been going to Hershey each year starting in 1970 and Carlisle all but the year Hershey was cancelled owing to Covid.

I can't remember more dismal weather over the full two weeks. Thursday at Hershey was nice. That was only day. The rest were manifest by drizzle to downpours to the in-between rains of whatever strength mother nature could provide. It was cold, clammy and downright awful.

When considering all years collectively it wasn't so bad to experience and exception now and then. For instance last year was great weather. I don't need to labor on t he obvious. There was no mud to speak of at Carlisle and none at Hershey because all the spaces are paved.

There were lots of empty spaces at both events. It would appear that both events have hit the hight water mark and it will be downhill for a while. Who knows.

I did buy some used 41 parts and sold a few myself.

Not much business mainly owing I guess to the foul weather.

The biggest plus for me each year is the food court up at the old stadium at Carlisle. When one is facing the vendors the one on the right end has the best hot (and I mean scalding hot) chocolate for only two bucks for a large cup. Their ham, cheese and egg sandwiches are really good. All the food vendors seem to have their yearly patrons. (Vendor at Hershey charged me three bucks for a small cup of hot chocolate and it was barely warm.)

Overall, both events were pretty much a bust this year. I stayed hunkered down almost the entire time. Did too!

Best,
