I have long legs and big feet which make it difficult to apply the brake on my 1933 Chevy Master Coach. I have moved the seat back 8 inches but this does not solve the problem. I either need to move the brake pedal closer to the floor (away from the steering wheel) or move the steering wheel upward. Has anyone encountered this problem and what have you done about it. I don't want to destroy the originality too much like installing a power brake system or a tilt steering wheel but I have to be able to operate my car safely.

Like all modifications there will be a comprise, it is a matter of which you can live with.

If your brakes are in good shape and take hold with lots of room left under the pedal face when stopping, you could shorten the arched portion of the pedal to gain some room.
Being vertically challenged, as I am, this problem never occurred to me.
