Hi all,

My 1930 three window coupe has a broken windshield. I need to remove it. It has a regulator and crank at the upper part of the window, which I removed. The windshield moved up and down. My question is, do I need to remove the top in order to remove the windshield and frame or is there a better way?

There are two moldings one on each side of the windshield glass channel held on by a few screws. Remove the screws on both sides and then you should see the glass channel against the wood post. You may have to run a thin sharp blade between the channel and wood to loosen them. Then tip the top of the windshield toward you. It may take a little tugging to get it to move. Be very careful of the broken glass as it has razor sharp edges. It goes back together the opposite of removal.
