Upon removing the rocker arms/shafts, I discovered one of the rocker arm shafts was broken through the center bolt hole. This must not be uncommon, since there is a waiting list on the Filling Station for this item. Does anyone have one that they want to sell? Please PM me if you do. I really am trying to get this engine running. Thanks much.

the replacement shafts were done by C&P Automotive. I got a set for my 1929 when i had mine rebuilt. know you said you looked at The Filling Station, but would call the rest just to see. C & P Automotive did make the rocker shafts but are out of stock and according to Bill are not planning to make any more. So your options are to find a used shaft in good shape, find an used and have it plated or welded and ground to size. I have talked to Bob Marx at Marx Parts on a couple of occasions. He was going to investigate having used ones restored. Haven't heard back from him yet.

That is sad news Chipper.... Bill at C&P makes a lot of good quality parts for our cars. have many of them on mine. Been a while since i talked to Bill, but he said they were going to slow down some.
as a side note when i found a place to rebuild and contour my rocker arm assemblies the place i went to is a place well known for doing them. they have done many of them, they offered the option of replating mine and grinding them to spec or replace with C&P ones. so they could be an option for replating and grinding older shafts if needed :) they have hte knowledge and experience ! Gary at Rocker Arms Unlimited was a great wealth of knowledge and resource in doing mine.

Does anyone know what years interchange? I have some new shafts but I think they were marked 1932.

Ralph, did you find your shafts? I have two sets marked 31 but they are without bushings. I would need to verify they are 31 if you still need them.

I just sent you a PM with a lead on a set of NOS rocker shafts for your car. Click on the flashing envelope at upper right.
