I recently purchased a 39 Master Deluxe 2 dr. sedan. Reading the included factory manual that came with the car, it indicates the best way to pull the motor is to pull the front clip, fenders and all in one piece.
Is this really necessary, and if so why?
Thanks for all the help.

In looking trrough my 1939 Chevrolet shop manual I see no mention of removing the engine,
That being said I can see no way to remove a 1939 engine with out removing the front clip. The core support and even the grille and narrow fenders openings would be in the way. Far fewer parts to unbolt by removing the front clip VS removing all the front sheet metal piece by piece.. wel2
