My boyfriend recently purchased a 1970 Monte Carlo SS. The car did not have a passenger side mirror so we found the exact mirror to match the remote driver's side mirror and had it installed. The mirror tilts slightly down toward the window. Is that normal?

I'm not familiar with the Monte Carlo but my experience with the factory mirrors I have dealt with over the years is that the driver side and passenger side mirrors are usually not the same. If you acquired another driver side mirror and mounted it on the passenger side, it may not be the correct mirror. I'll move this to a technical forum to get you a wider audience and hopefully get your question answered by someone who knows. Welcome to VCCA Chat!

It should look like the left side mirror.
