My 1933 door lock needs attention. I can't trust that it will unlock once it is in the lock position. Since the right door has the only lock I can get locked out real easy. I took the handle out and knocked it on the bench and it started working. I think the tumblers must be disintegrating. Does anyone know of locksmith that works on these locks?

There is one who advertises in the G&D. I don't have a copy handy right now.

If you contact him and he is still repairing locks etc please advise as I left a message a few weeks ago and have not received a reply.
