Just purchased a 1995 Corvette with automatic transmission. The selector plastic window is off center and is loose inside the housing. Took the center counsel out to take a look see. Doesn't appear it snaps or clues into place. Just suspends without support allowing it to slip out of position. Any suggested remedy? It just looks sloppy and unhappy with that appearance.

Apparently nobody else with a Corvette with automatic transmission has had this issue? Hard to believe.

It might be better to find a Corvette site to pose your problem as they are focused on them. I suspect that there are not too many 1995 Corvette owners on this site.

Thanks but its a question regarding all C-4 Corvettes. It ran from 1982 - 1995. Must be millions out there. I will source a Corvette specific blog. Appreciated!

Removing the center council was a real PITA but finally successful. The clear plastic window on the AT gear selector is held in place by four small screws into plastic nubs protruding down. My issue was all four nubs had snapped clean allowing the window to drop down and rattle inside the cavity below. Assume this must be a common issue with C-4 Corvettes. Glued all the nubs back with epoxy and it's holding for now. Certain just a short matter of time before they snap clean again. A horrible design flaw.
