These were in the pile of parts for the 32 when I picked up the remants of the 32 5 window coupe I am reassembling. Hopefully they are of the correct time period.
They don't look like '32 to me. '32 Chev rims are 18" at the bead. Measure the bolt holes and they should be 5-1/2" center to center. If you do not have the hub caps as well I think you will be hard pressed to find some.
They really don't look like Chevrolet to me at all. But they could be after market and might have been bought for your car by a PO.
I think those are trailer wheels. If you have only 2 of them, that would be a clue. Also, there were some wide wheels made in the 30s, called General Jumbo. They were promoting a wider tire and rim, smaller rim diameter combination. I guess they were ahead of their time. I don't know if this is the same company as the General Tire Company of more recent times. Hoppy was a trailer brand back then. I have seen hubcaps that were copied from Chevy caps, except they said Hoppy on them.
I am thinking Mike is right on. They are General Jumbo wheels marketed in the mid 1930s like this wheel I found on the web. They used lower pressure tires to give a softer ride.
