Several years ago I installed an Oakie bushing in my 38 Master. I did so because I think the drive shaft seal was leaking. The part was not new and now it looks like the new seal in the Oakie is allowing transmission fluid to drain into the rearend. So this winter I am going to pull the torque tube. I am now trying to figure out how to remove the Oakie. It took a lot of force to install and I really don’t want to use a lot of brute force to push it out. I am also wondering if the torque tube will have been stretched some in that area,

My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .

There is a bushing removal tool available for rent or purchase from the Filling Station that should do the job. Their web site is www.fillingstation.com.
