OK I'm new to the group and can't wait to restore my 1936 Chevy. But I'm looking for wire wheels and whitewall tires and I've researched a couple of sites but just can't find anything that has what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

Coker tire or Lucas tire might have the tires if they have been able to navigate covid and the supply chain hindrances. You will just have to search for the wheels

Collector car tires have been a big problem to get lately. I believe the size you need is 525/550x17. Since you said whitewall, the choices that are even advertised right now are a very short list.

Universal Tire:
Lester https://www.universaltire.com/525-550-17-lester-3-3-4-inch-whitewall.html]
Firestone https://www.universaltire.com/525-550-17-firestone-3-inch-whitewall.html]

Lucas:
Firestone https://www.lucasclassictires.com/525-550-17-Firestone-3-Whitewall-688965L.htm]

Coker:
Firestone https://www.cokertire.com/tires/525-550-17-firestone-3-whitewall-tire.html]
Firestone (double) https://www.cokertire.com/tires/525-550-17-firestone-3-double-whitewall-tire.html]
(prewar whitewalls were almost all double, but that is usually not done in replicas. most prewar cars had blackwall tires)

Definitely call and check stock before ordering. Everybody seems to be out of everything. The choice might be made by what you can get.

If you have sidemounts or any sort of a spare with a metal cover, replica tires are sometimes too large. I would be reluctant to order spares before trying one in a tire cover. One size smaller spare(s) might be the ticket (but might not be ok for a showcar).

I believe the wheels are steel artillery style, 17", 6 lug. They are pretty narrow. The center appears to stick up high because of that and (see picture) and may help you identify them when you see them on craigslist or whatever. The do tend to cost more than you would expect, but inspect closely for deep rust pitting. Don't buy questionable ones. They are not rare.

I don't think wire wheels were still an option in 1936. 17" wire wheels from a 1935 or 1934 Master should bolt on I think. The tire size is the same. Possibly wire wheels from other Chevrolet models too except "Standard". Not much from a Standard fits a Master and definitely not the wheels.
