Hi, We have been looking for a pair of rear fenders for our pick up for a couple of years with no success. We were wondering if someone could tell us whether '39 rear fenders are particular to that yr or could we be looking at other years too?
Thanks alot
Maree chevy

According to the Chevrolet parts book, 1939 thru 1946 1/2 ton rear fenders are the same for the series J, K, A, B, C, and D. yipp laugh laugh

Hi, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the fenders are different between 39 and 40. In 1940 the bed width was increased 3 inches. Fenders on 1940 thru 46 rears are the same but 39 are 1 1/2 inches wider.

maree,

what brian's said is also what we've always heard...

just for your reference, our '40 kc bed is 48-1/2" wide inside the box fender-to-fender, while the fenders themselves are 11-1/2"-11-3/4" at the widest about the wheel centerline...

hope that this helps...
