I am working to install new fuel lines on a 1937 business coupe and curious as to what style of fuel clips were used, how many, and where were they located to keep the fuel line on the frame of the car?

Thanks

JK,

The best I can tell what you need is in group 8.950 in the parts book. There are two types listed

120521 1/4" Strap. Bolt-on Type and

148129 1/4 Hook, Push-in Type

I think my 41 used the latter one but could have used the former or both. I'm no sure.

Owing to CotFs listing their stuff by part number, you may want to give them a call.

JK....
My 37MD used the push-in clip.
Both the fuel line and brake line run along the passenger side of the frame - parallel to each other.
The fuel line runs on top, thus the brake line is on the bottom.
At or near the cross member a brake line T allows the line to go to the master cylinder and to the front brakes.
I must have found the clips locally ... I don't find the items listed on any of my FS or C40s invoices.
If you want, I can count how many I used for both lines.

Another possible source for brake and fuel lines including clips is inlinetube.com.

Jim,

Great info thanks so much! Yes, could you please count how many you have for both lines. Do you have any pictures of your set up? Before I purchased, the previous owner installed a rubber line. I am working today to install pre-bent steel lines just like the factory did. Any help would be great as I can find no info in literature as to what the set up looked like for a business coupe. Imagine the sedans were similar, just had different gas tank placement. Thank you!

Gentlemen thank you for the suggestions. I will look over both filling station and chev's of the 40's. Here is what the filling station has in their 2022 catalog. Any of these look like the 1937 stock clips?
