Have a 32 Pickup 1/2 t. with an engine #335601 and date code of E-23-0. I know the date is May 23 1930 but not sure of the engine. Can anyone help?

If the casting number is 835501 with a date code E-23-0 it is a 1930. Don't know of a casting number 335601. Would be interesting if the stamped steel clutch housing was used or the 1931 or newer cast iron housing. Then there is the transmission. Is it 1930, 1931 or 1932. They are not the same. Photos or numbers off the major parts will help with ID.

How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!

Thanks Chipper. One of my friends (who is a VCCA member but not computer savvy) bought a 32 pickup and he's unfamiliar with something that modern. His newest is a 21 Chevrolet. He may have misread the engine # but the trans number he gave me is 32. I couldn't find the 335 number either. I'll try to go by his house and take a look.
