I see accessory trunk guards advertised for 40/ 41 Chevrolets as if they were the same thing.
I think there are several differences that may cause a buyer for one of the year models to be disappointed with a purchase.
Check me out here and tell me if I'm wrong on the differences:
a. The emblem is different.
b. The length of the arm that bolts to the frame crossmember is shorter/longer fro one year than the other.
c. The face of the chrome upright has no grooves on the 41 while the 40 does.
d. The arm had a plate that goes above the frame crossmember that is often missing in ads.
I used the term frame crossmember loosely, I trust you know what I mean by this term.
Anyone know of any other differences regarding this particular accessory?
