Some 1941 jack questions.

a. Can anyone tell me it the jack cited below is the correct one for a 1941? Gene, Ray, Chipper, Mike (all of the Mikes), et al?

I notice that there is no mention of a handle. tooth

b. Another thing while we're at it. Was the jack designed to fit the front bumper itself or the bumper arms?

I have a correct jack I think but the plate it stands in is a bit smaller than I think it should be. Got it a Hershey several years ago. Does the plate look about the right size in the cite below?

c. Important question here: Am I correct that a correct jack is just an accessory item that, if shown for judging, is merely another item for which points can be taken off if not in the box and perfect condition, color and all?:Agrin

d. Also, what color were they and how much of the jack was painted? Plate? Just jack mechanism and or handle?

e. I noticed an adjustable slot-headed screw/bolt that sticks through the underside of the jacks "mouth to bumper/arm." What in the heck is that for?

Thanks for your time.

Best,

Charlie computer

The jack pictured is not for a 1941 but for a 1939,
It clamps to the bumper brackets.
The 1941 jack hooks to the bumper as a rear brackets are covered by the gravel deflector.

Thank you.

I was not so sure the vendor was correct in the span of years advertised. Now I know.

The bolt was to lock it to the bumper iron and you would use the engine crank as the jack handle.

Thank for the information. Never considered using an engine crank for a jack handle. Well, learn something every day.

Best,
