Going to put the new wood body back on the frame. I bought a piece of rubber 1.5 inches wide, .25 inches thick and the length of the body. Should I put this between the frame and the wood body? Was there anything there from the factory? Should I be using something else? Thanks

Originally there were woven pads impregnated with a water proofing agent at each body bolt. Look like cotton belting with tar like water proofing to me.

The pads were only placed at the body bolt locations and not the entire length.

Ok. I will just use the pads at the body bolt locations. I just received new body bolt plates from the Filling Station.
