Hello I have just bought a 1927 Chevy landau that is in exceptional condition but I have not got it running? I have bought a new battery and installed it, nothing no lights won’t turn over or anything to tell me that it’s going to? I’ve researched it and have seen that a lot of cars like mine were positive ground? Which was a new one to me? I have no idea how to tell if my car is this! So any help I can get will be greatly appreciated!! Also anything else I might need to know about a initial start up for a car like this I will be great full!! It hasn’t ran in 22 yrs!!

First, your Chevrolet is negative ground. All Chevrolets are negative ground. Your four cylinder should be fairly easy to trace electrical problems. But after 22 years a lot needs to be done. Fluids changed, etc. There is a checklist here that would help you with your startup. Others will chime in soon. As check the posts farther down for your year specific car.

I agree 100% with the advice your are getting. If that engine has not run and the car has not been driven in 22 years there are lots of items to check. You can do more damage than good by just trying to crank it as is.
One very simple item to check is whether or not the engine will even turn over. Have you removed the spark plugs, squirted oil like Marvel Mystery oil down the cylinders, let it soak a day or so, and tried to crank the engine by hand?
