Looking for someone close that would give a helping hand or advice to a lot of questions ( to many to type on form ) concerning roof insert replacement and break work. Car is all original barn find. It’s running and driving. On one to 10 the brakes are working about a 2. The top is dry rotted and I don’t want water to screw stuff up. So that’s why I want someone who knows what there doing. Would post a photo but can’t figure out how to down size my photo on I phone . If I figure it out will post photo. I live just west of Evansville Indiana. Thanks for any helpful.

Hi Kray1932,

Welcome to the website! This is definitely the best place to ask your questions and hobknob with kindred old Chevy spirits!

To find some help in your area, I suggest that you contact the Director of one of our local chapters (we call them regions). They are all listed here: VCCA Region list

Another option, if you join the club, is to search our membership database. There are many benefits to joining the club, such as accessing technical advisors, getting an award-winning monthly magazine, being able to use the Forum's Search Function, and lots more.

By using the Search Function, you can sift through the wealth of knowledge that is currently in our forums. For example, I just did a search looking for instances of +1932 +roof +replace (the plus means that all these words must be present) and one of the search results was this thread in the 1929-1932 forum: New top needed discussion

Cheers, Dean

Thanks. I plan on joining, will be well worth it. Me and the wife took it out for first ride today for lunch. Little over 50 mile trip . Crushed around 30 to 35 mph on the back roads. Great time. Temperature was close to 60 today. Supposed to get cold and nasty again. So have a few days for more work before our next ride. Amazing how the car attracts hand waves , thumbs up and conversation at a pit stop.
