Hey Folks,

In cruising my local Cragslist listings for 57s, I came across an ad for a 57 Window Sedan Delivery project in San Diego.
Does anybody know if these truly existed from the factory, or did someone just creatively remove the steel panels and install glass????.

Scratching my head on this one. rolllaugh

Everyone stay safe.
Cheers

I just did a Google search and found one listed for sale in Michigan. It has a one piece top hinged rear door rather than the 2 piece tailgate of the wagon.

I believe these were special made for the US Government. A government 1956 model shows up in the movie "West By North West"
.

I remember that wagon from the movie. Very interesting Gene.

I note my local Craigslist ad in San Diego has the price reduced to 5K. Looks like a good deal for a project with potential. No motor or trans and needs some body love.

No sooner than posting, a fully restored museum quality resto car appeared on the same CL site. Asking is 98K which is probably reasonable given the rarity of this model. Link below:

Very cool.

A TON OF MONEY BUT YOU COULD NOT PUT ONE TOGETHER FOR THAT AMOUNT.

I agree with Gene. Very well done but put out of my league money wise. On the other hand it would cost a lot more to find one and do it this well.

Given the attention to detail I wonder if the owner is a VCCA member. Know ho strong the market for collector cars is right now it would not surprise me to see this sold through the Craigslist ad and show up in a major auction soon.
