Hi All Being the owner of one of the few Model D V8's that are left in the world there is only so much that can be posted about them without the risk of repeating information. As far as I am aware there are only 2 Model D cars under restoration, 1 complete chassis and 1 Wreck that is almost past saving. The other remaing 18 that we know of are all restored complete cars. The reason for the post is that these cars have a lot of parts in common with the Model F cars as as such I would like to see the Model F, FA & FB Series cars added to this section. These cars are rare in their own right and do not appear in any other forums. So I am asking the Moderators if there was a way that the F Model cars could be included in this section. So that it may be the Model D & F, FA ,FB group, this would then cater for the guys that own theses cars and increase the information on these cars. Look forward to the response to this sugestion. Thanks Twin 4

Hi Guys ,
Thanks for suporting the idea to include the other F Model cars I hope the owners of these cars will support this section. There are a few of us working on some parts that suit all the models at the moment. We are going to reproduce the Fuel /Gas gauge unit for these cars. The F , FA ,FB and Model D gas gauges are all the same and will fit round or square tanks. If you need one for your car please contact me so that we can add you to the list which will help to reduce the cost by increasing the numbers to be reproduced. Another FA FB owners has been working on reproducing the headlight rims for these cars which is a huge help. Twin4

My father owned a D5. He told the story of wrecking the car. I found the model plate and the serial # was 2-4091. If this has value to someone let me know.

I think donating to the VCCA library collection would be an appropriate custodian for the plate. That way it would be available to people doing research on Chevrolets.

Hi Looserocker,
Over the years we have gathered info on all the known V8 Chev Model D owners and any parts that are left to help each other out. The plate would be nice to have from an original car. We have even had some new reproduction plates made as a number of car plates were missing. I would be interested in any information or photos of the car that you may have, even the state it was located in or the condition when wrecked. Thanks Twin 4
