I have after market"Nostalgia"wheels and NORS hub caps for my 48 Fleetline, the wheels and caps are to be the right match. The fit seems to be very!! tight .Before I apply additional pressure and risk scratching the parts, has anyone else had problems with these type of parts

Hi chef-chevy-

I am assuming that your hub caps are full size and not the little "dog dish" style? I purchased two aftermarket full size hub caps for my 58, and they were very tight also( the originals fit fine). I could barely get them on and when I did I was afraid they would pop off when driving down the road. To solve the problem I cut a deeper series of V notches on the back between the "compression fingers" with aviator shears (six to eight, evenly spaced around the circumference). You can't see the fix and it didn't hurt the covers at all. The covers have been in place without incident since then about three years ago. I hope this helps you.
