A few years ago, I bought reprint SN for 1935 and 1936. For 1936, I did not receive August, September, and October. I notice that the sets currently available on eBay are also short these same issues and I can't find individual originals for these months. Were they issued? If so does anyone have originals I can buy?
I have a good size stack of originals for various years. I would be happy to help someone fill gaps in their collection.

Hi Mike

Some time back I bought reprints of everything from 1928-1954.
I just looked and I am missing Aug Sept and Oct for 1936 as well.

The only other anomaly I note between 1929 and 1940 is that Dec 1933 and Jan 1934 were combined into one issue.

So I'm interested as well to know if anyone has or knows anything about the
August, September and October 1936 issues of Chevrolet Service News.

My interpretation is that there were no bulletins published in those 3 months.

If you look at the last page of the July 1936 Service News you will see that it is page number 56. The second page of November 1936 is page 58. The covers count as page number. So the cover of November is really page 57 for that calendar year.

Or that is at least how I rationalize it!!

The cover for each of the 1936 Service Bulletins are identified as Volume 10 and then have an edition number.

January 1936 is Volume 10 Number 1. December 1936 is Volume 10 Number 9.

I also have a set of 1937 Service bulletins. The pages are numbered consecutively through page 94. January 1937 is Volume 11 Number 1 and December 1937 is Volume 11 Number 12. There was a bulletin each month in 1937.

Both of my sets are from the same reproducer.

Excellent points Rusty.
I had noticed that when I got my Bulletins, but forgot all about it.

Mysterious.

I didn't think to check the page numbers.
