This morning I wrote a reply on a thread and posted it. I looked at it after posting. Now it is gone, nowhere to be found. The post by our new member "Leapin" seems to contain some characters that were unknown to me before seeing them, just now. I don't think they were there this morning.
If I click on the thread name at the right side of the section, I get a message saying the thread cannot be found. If I click on the section, then the thread. it takes me there.
I was intrigued by another thread name to the right, so I clicked on the section and the thread was not there.
Can someone tell me what is going on?

As the saying goes "no good deed goes unpunished".
After the migration we are having significant issues with the hosting company. The database is bombing randomly.
We are exploring fixes to the issue and hope to have a decision in the next day.
Will keep you posted.

I have never liked "updates" as there is nearly always problems as a result. I have turned off updates for windows and rarely have problems compared to previous.

If you remember nearly everytime Bill Barker did a update there was problems and at 1 stage he changed servers which took a week or so to get working again. When the programmers build the updates not all of the syntax is correct and that is where the glitches happen.

If you hide the boxes (column) on the the right side of the page, the text of the posts has more room to spread out and you get a few more articles per page.
To hide or show the column on the right, click the two-bar icon (⏸) to the right of the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top right of the page.

If you click on your name in upper right corner, and choose "preferences", there is a personal setting for number of threads per page.
Mine is set to "forum default", and I have more than 10 threads per page, but 10 or 20 can be selected there, and yours might be set at 10 per page.

One nice change I see is that the notifications I receive from the threads I follow is that the notification emails now show up in my email inbox instead of in the junk folder!
