Johnny, I asked about these and was told they are for finishing wood products varnish, and other wood finishing.

Johnnie, I agree after seeing the gun it should be allright for autos,(requires a compressor) The one I asked about was a small turbine and a small gun all in one unit, and it was listed for varnish and other wood finishes, it was less than $100 at discount mail order places.

MrMack, it stands to reason if you can spray varnish and lacquers through it for wood you should be able to shoot automotive lacqures and enamels through it also. :confused: chevy

29 Chevy, most of the HVLP units made for wood finishing ( not this gun) don't atomize the paint good enough for auto finishing.

The paint system I was talking about for wood finishing is NOT the PHS-1. I was mistaken and thought he was refering to the self contained HVLP system that sells for less then $100. It has a built in turbine and a small gun designed for finishing wood crafts, I saw it in a catalog, don't remember the model number.
