Sent my engine to get checked out and was told that the head has numerous cracks and not repairable. What is a good source to find one?
any help appreciated!

The 1941-1948 heads are the same - ff you can find a good used one.
A 1949-1953 216 head was sold as a replacenent and will fit OK but uses the larger 14 MM spark plugs

I unfortunately tossed the one off my ”˜46 when the city codes inspector got onto me. I didn’t realize at the time that they were different from later models. Live and learn. If you’re not doing a meticulous restoration of the car, I would go with a later head. Just my 2 cents worth.
