I think my 37 had the original screws and they look like this,I got some stainless screws from the hardware store that looked similar but could never find those nuts.
if they are round head slotted screws 1/4-20 thread with square nuts, they are readily available at many hardware stores. if not go online to Bolt Depot and get some, shipping is usually cheap, but will be more than the hardware it self. Fastenal, also carries them, McMaster Carr (buy in bulk)
if you know what length you want/need let me know, i have a ton of them, just pay for the shipping as long as they are 1/4-20 round head slotted screws as noted. plus I have some washers SAE, USS, lock, etc... they are all steel zinc coated. bought batches when i started working on my 1929 Chevrolet !! since they are used all over it. can also get stainless locally here if needed from local mom and pop hardware store :) pretty cheap

My recent experiences are that most hardware and big box stores no longer carry regular round head slotted screws They offer a screw that has a combination Phillips and slotted head.
Thanks for the offer but after digging thru some of my cans of old screws I found a couple. As mention above all local stores that carry then are combination Phillips and slotted head..
glad you found some !! guess we are lucky to have an old school hardware around. granted i have a lot of hardware i have ordered. sometimes just had to eat the cost to get what i wanted

If you're looking for old fasteners go to some estate auctions. Around here the contents of the garage is all put together and always has a few coffee cans full of old screws, nuts and bolts. They rarely sell for more than a dollar.
