Hello to all, I recently purchased a 1931 Chevrolet from a woman in Greer SC. and brought it back to FL. It was last was last run 25 years ago. Looking forward to taking care of all the details of getting it in perfect shape. I love all mechanical things old! Carl

Welcome Carl, Glad you like your purchase, there is a website for 1931 chevrolets, www.1931chevrolet.com. A lot of members here are very knowledgeable on 1931 models.

Welcome! Enjoy your new old car. We hope you join the VCCA as well. It's a great club with an active chapter in your area. We do tours, car shows, get-togethers, etc. We have technical advisors for every aspect of your '31. Have a look at VCCA.ORG
All the Best, Chip

Always a joy to welcome another 1931 Chevy owner. I have owned at least one 1931 Chevy for the past 50 years. Been the technical advisor for too many years to remember how many. I as well as several others should be able to help you with your challenges. I have also been a VCCA member for over 50 years and highly recommend being a member and participating as much as you can. It is by far the best family to be a part of particularly since you don't have to be born into it.

I think if the link is installed correctly it will show up as highlighted . As a VCCA member you can post photos directly on the VCCA Chat site after one of the moderators gives his blessing. It's a manual process so may take a little time for one of the volunteers to do so as they are not always monitoring the site.

It was my pleasure to verify you joining the VCCA 10/16/21. Member number 58324. You now should be able to post photos directly on the site. There is a restriction on size but still large enough to show most details. I copied the URL address and could see the photo. Looks like a really nice Special Sedan

Thanks Chipper , You have helped out on a few issues already. And I suspect I will be calling on you again! The car runs well but as I become more familiar with it and study photos and read posts here I am learning that there are many missing brackets, missing small parts, incorrectly or hastily done previous work and cobbled together wiring. As a motorcycle restorer I take pride to put things back the way the maker intended. All part of the enjoyment for me.
