Went to a sheet metal shop to get some strips of metal to make body mount shims. The shop foreman sent me to the office where I spoke with the owner who asked what I was using it for. When I told him it was for my Bel Air he replied he bought a Bel Air for his wife about 40 years ago. We conversed about the car and my project and when I inquired about paying then rather than going to the shop and returning he stated " Just see Keith (shop foreman) and I'll let him know to take care of you." So I saw Keith, showed him a sample, and he cut three strips from a sheet of metal and then asked how I was going to cut them.I replied with my air cut-off tool. No you don't want to do that he said and proceeded to reset his shear and cut the strips to the correct size and handed me about 30 pieces . It certainly made my day to not only get what I needed but at no cost and an enjoyable conversation with both gentlemen.
