Looking for the rubber running boards for my 48. I was wondering if anyone has actually bought these and if so how well do they fit. Sure don't want to drop that kind of money if they don't fit and look great. https://www.steelerubber.com/door-opening-step-pad-60-0418-45Thanks, -JW: 48 AS

I have a 1946 Fleetmaster coupe and I just installed new ones from Steele Rubber and they look great! Also the weatherstrip, great products. Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Also, these are “made in America “! I highly recommend Steele. I’m using their products on my ”˜52 Buick Special, too. And intend to do so on my ”˜50 Fleetline 4dr.

There is one most important lesson I have learned in the last 15 years after I got into this classic car hobby.
Good reproduction parts are not cheap and are very hard to find. You can always find “replacement” parts. They will be cheaper and will not fit, look, or function like you want.
There are few companies that are willing to invest in making these parts because the costs are so high.
I deal with Steele whenever I need good rubber or soft parts. You pay for a great end result.
