Hi,

I know I have been posting quite a bit here lately but I just acquired my 1956 Bel air 6cyl with auto trans. and am sorting it out.

I notice that this car has no oil filter.
I find it strange because I had the same engine in my 1954 Bel air 6 cylinder with a 3 speed, and that car had an oil filter.

???

The oil filter could be avaiable as a fatory installed option or installed by the dealer - which most were.
Just change the oil once a year or every 2000 miles and forget the filter.
