Can someone please tell me if the '34 Master's engine is internally or externally balanced?

Internally. External balancing would be be the flywheel and harmonic balancer that is way out of balance . A good example woould bhe the small block 400 CI engine that had an out of balance flywheel and harmoic balancer.
If you have vabirations at certain speeds with your 1934 (usually caused by the pressure plate) you can make things better by adding wshers to the pressure plate mounting bolts via trial and error.
