I'm trying to ascertain where to put the hood brace seal on my 54 convert, there is a section of the brace that extends down approx.5/8 of a inch across it's length,is this where it is glued to? The seal is flat and a inch and a half wide. Thanks in advance.Frank.

Frank, according to The Filling Station, the hood to radiator seal is the same for 1949-1954 cars. I have attached several photos of what I did on my 1950. I used the existing holes where the original seal was stapled to the hood support. I could not find the exact staples so I bought some stainless steel wire and made my own. When you place that seal on the hood support, REMEMBER, it's suppose to keep the air going to the radiator and not over it. Good Luck.
