Hi all, I'm in the process of restoration of a 1936 pickup and the door regulators have metal rollers for the window sash. Are those rollers supposed to roll or are they stationary? I would think they should move, but mine are either solid or rusted to the point they won't move. I've taken some plyers and got them to move but the entire stud is moving and not the wheel itself. Thanks for any input.

They are supposed to roll, at least they do on my later model trucks. On my ”˜46, they were as you described. That was until being bathed in a penetrating oil concoction, a homemade mix of 50/50 acetone and automatic transmission fluid, for several days. During that bath time, pliers were periodically used to gently rock them back and forth until they eventually moved freely.
