From the underside of the 1937 Business Coupe where does one begin to locate the master cylinder? And is it best worked on from the underside or through the engine compartment? Thanks!

It is under the floor and under the flat part of the floor. It is removed, ect. from underside.

If you just need to check or add fluid, there is an access hole in the drivers side floor board. It should have a round plug in it, you can check and add fluid through that hole. As Gene said to remove the master cylinder it has to be done from under the car.
