I picked up this moto meter on ebay last week. It has the Chevy Bowtie so I assume it is a genuine accessory. Can anyone tell me what year this might be correct for? I have pre war Chevy radiator ornament collection and like to know the year.

Thanks,
Chris Geiger

Moto-Meter was an after market supplier of temperature gauges for all makes of cars. The Chevy 4 cylinder parts book for 1928 doesn't list any radiator caps as an optional accessory. Moto-Meter made a small and a large temperature gauge. I have both but not sure what year the larger one goes on. The smaller of the two will fit 1928 and earlier back to the 490's.

Thanks for getting back to me, I wasn't sure if the base went with the head unit and did not know when Chevy used screw on radiator caps. I found it on ebay and cost me under $40.00 so I thought it would clean up nice enough for a display piece.
