My car has incorrect cloth top material installed on it.I am getting ready to replace the cloth.I want to do the job as close to the original installation as possible.The information in the four ninety brochure says it was a tailored mohair top.I saw a 1916 Chevrolet on google at a auction and it looks to be a original survivor.What color was the cloth tan or black ? The rear window I saw on the car at the auction looks round.What size is the diameter ? Do you have the have the dimensions to install the height of the window ? Is there a trim piece around the window ? How does the material attach to the front bow above the windshield ? Does it have a trim piece to cover the nails that attach the cloth ? What type of material was used to cover the individual top bows located beneath the cloth top covering ? What material was used to make the three straps that was used to align the individual bows beneath the cloth top ? I appreciate any information you can provide.Thank you.

I also would encourage you to consider whether it is a good practice to publish private information such as your email and home address as well as phone number in a public forum such as this.

I am new to the chat forum.Thank you for the good advice.I edited my forum last night and removed my private information.Is there a way to contact Pinky Randall using the VCCA chat ? I sent him a letter before purchasing my 1916 Four Nintey Chevrolet.He answered my questions with a letter back to me.Then I purchased the car.I still have the letter and his address.But electronic messages are much easier and faster.

Thank you.I have been a member of VCCA for over 25 years.My membership number is 29966.I just recently found out this chat site was available when I was trying to locate a email address for Bruce Bugay.It is a real handicap when you are permanently unable to talk on the phone due to throat cancer surgery.I had Bruce"s phone number but could not talk to him.I just sent a email to VCCA membership services requesting membership access to membership only information and photo privlages today.I am waiting for a reply.

I received a email notifying me that my membership only access has been granted.A VCCA member did previously send me the email address for Bruce Bugay.
