The push button starter unscrewed while driving down the road last week. I noticed a metal cylinder on the floor board before it rolled out and was never found again.
Anyone know the dimensions of the cylinder that is between the spring and round screw piece that your foot pushes? For now, I just have the round screw piece in all the way to keep the contacts separated. Unscrew to start. Looking to take it apart this weekend and rig something up but was hoping someone has an origional that can be measured.
Hi Greg, The entire starter switch is available from the Filling Station for $22.95. They are very nice to deal with. Their email is < fssales@fillingstation.com>. You could find out the size of the missing part and keep it for a spare when repaired. Good luck, Lou
Greg you can go down to your local Tractor Supply Outlet store and get one for $17. They are a universal part which all look and work the same. I replaced mine about 3 years ago.
