I called UBC this afternoon. The guy that helped me last April was not available. Today's rep initially could not find the N-36, 3 piece thrust bearing in their system, but he searched a little harder when I referenced my April order and his distributor. Apparently, "N-36" is linked to two different parts, a lock nut and our bearing. When he went to the warehouse to confirm the availability of the 3 piece bearing it could not be found. I asked if they would be restocking it, he said no. I asked if he knew of another company that might have it, he said no.
Sorry for the bad news.

I don't know if will help, but I believe the "N" in the part number is for the "Nice" bearing company, which I think is now the RBC Co.

Best of luck.

I recently pulled a 30' steering box apart and found the same issue. A chewed up retainer first, then when I pulled it apart I found both the lower and upper shaft sections worn. I found a 31' steering box fit right in and is a more adjustable unit.
