I believe there is a bell crank on the block and you could lubricate it.


My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .

Also inspect the bell crank and other pivot points for wear. It the bell crank is too loose on the pivot pin it will cause it to twist sideways and bind. Don't know if the throttle pedal is hinged at the floor but if so that will need cleaning/lubricating.

I had that exact situation on my 51. I lubricated the bell crank and problem solved. It probably needs to be done once a year after being stored all winter.

I have replaced return spring and after four attempts have finally fixed problem.Runs like new.
