Hi all

Does anyone know where I can get the felt gasket/ring used under the oil bath air cleaners where they sit on and seal to the old Carter W-1 carburetors?
I’ve looked but can’t seem to find one listed anywhere.

I have made a temporary replacement, but the felt is too soft and I’m always trying to stuff it back in the groove before installing the air cleaner, and then hoping it’s still in there when I’m done. And the soft felt allows the air cleaner to settle down too low allowing the bottom of the bowl to contact the dust cover over the top of the fuel bowl on the carburetor. It needs to be a harder felt than I’ve been able to get to do the job.

My air cleaner is an RPO 216E to be exact, but I assume all oil baths would use the same felt.

I put this in this forum as I am looking for a source rather than the part. But if you have the part, that would be great too! :-)
